At the conclusion of of the spring season, ILAX hosts the Youth Lacrosse State Championships. The two-day tournament brings together all youth boys and girls teams to celebrate another great season!
The ILAX State Championships were June 7-8, 2025 at Ankeny's Prairie Ridge Sports Complex. Using a double elimination format for most divisions, champions were crowned for 10U, 12U and 14U boys and girls and High School boys.
The 2025 Champions are:

•14U Boys – Waukee
•HS Boys – Ankeny
•10U Girls – Kingfisher
•12U Girls – Kingfisher
•14U Girls – West Des Moines
In 2024, ILAX announced its first All-Stars who were recognized during the Youth State Championships. Continuing for a second year in 2025, each team selected 3 individuals from each of their teams. Players were selected for their leadership skills, practice habits and competitive success. The 2025 list will be released prior to the 2025 Championships and the players recognized in a ceremony at 12pm on Saturday.
On June 7-8, hundreds of girls and boys will gather in Ankeny for the Iowa Lacrosse Association's 2025 State Championships! Players from every ILAX club will participate in the 2-day celebration of lacrosse in Iowa.
All games are at the Prairie Ridge Sports Complex in Ankeny (1510 NW Ash Dr, Ankeny, IA 50023). Games will begin at 9am on Saturday (June 7), running all day across 5 different fields. Play resumes Sunday morning, June 8, at 9am and concludes at various times in the afternoon as State Champions are crowned!
Players from all 8 youth lacrosse clubs in Iowa will participate in the 2025 Championships! And the Western Illinois RedHawks (Moiline, IL) are participating in the boys High School division!
In total, 37 teams will take the field over the two days in the 10U, 12U and 14U divisions for girls and boys and new this year -- the boys High School division!!
The 2025 youth All Stars will be recognized at 12pm on Saturday on Field 19.
Each 10U, 12U and 14U team selected 3 players as All Stars acknowledging their leadership, positive attitudes, play, and sportsmanship.
The Championships will utilize 5 fields over the two days.
The central ILAX administrative tent is located at the shared corner of Fields 17, 18 and 19. Tournament brackets and all awards will be found there.
Merchandise vendors and food trucks can be found adjacent to Field 19.
