At the Iowa Lacrosse Association (ILAX), our mission is to promote the growth of lacrosse across Iowa. We strive to provide opportunities for all players, from youth to high school, to engage in this exciting sport and develop their skills.
Lacrosse is one of the nation's fastest growing sports. In Iowa, more than 700 boys and girls played competitive games during the spring 2024 season.
ILAX works with its member clubs and key partners (Parks & Rec departments, PE teachers, other sports teams and youth organizations) to expose children across Iowa to lacrosse. Our goal is to not only grow our existing clubs, but see development of new clubs.
The Iowa Lacrosse Association structures, schedules, and hosts competitive play for boys and girls from 10U through High School. Spring is the main season for lacrosse play.
We are committed to player and coach development at Iowa Lacrosse Association. ILAX programs include training sessions and clinics, leveraging resources from USA Lacrosse to improve the skills of our players and coaches.
Part of our commitment at Iowa Lacrosse Association includes recruiting and training referees. We offer comprehensive training programs to ensure that our officials are well-prepared to manage games and uphold the integrity of lacrosse.
